The Culinary Experience
Experience Culinary Art and Fine Dining with a menu arranged by Le Cordon Bleu and Niagara Culinary Institute trained Joshua Groom from 13 Mountain Street in Grimsby that has been inspired by the area at the PoultryFest Niagara Culinary Experience from Noon to 8:00 pm. “The Niagara region sits geographically in one of the best climates to grow fantastic produce” say Joshua who feels blessed to have been born and raised in an area that is so bountiful, with spirit and product.” The local fresh produce, paired with our own Ontario Chicken, will be complemented by a sumptuous dessert prepared by Pastry Chef Jackie VanEgmond of Jackie’s Bakery & Cafe in Smithville. All this will be topped off with VQA wines from West Niagara’s own Legends Estates Winery in Beamsville.
With all this local talent working together, its sure to be a Culinary Experience to remember.

• Niagara-grown smoke grilled chicken breast served with Charlie Bee Honey scallion egg noodle pasta and Raw Garlic Foam with a side of Frisee rhubarb raison chick pea cucumber toss with a Carmel vinaigrette

Strawberry Fruit Tart
• Sugar cookie crust smothered in a sweetened cream cheese icing topped with sliced strawberries and lightly sprinkled with icing sugar.

A true Gewurztraminer nose expresses tropical fruit, peach, and grapefruit in the glass. This white wine captures delightful flavours of lychee, citrus fruit and a classic spicy character for which Gewurztraminer is famous. A crisp, off-dry style with a fresh finish, this wine pairs perfectly with herbed chicken in a light, cream sauce.
• Legends Estate 2007 Cabernet VQA
A Cabernet Franc based wine that has aromas of toasted oak, sweet cherry and red currant. This red wine blend is medium-bodied and has a nice balance of rich fruit and soft tannin. The ideal pairing for roasted chicken and vegetables.
