PoultryFest Theme Song Competition
In preparation for the 2010 festival, PoultryFest 2010 is introducing a song writing contest to find a theme song for our annual festival. This contest will be held in addition to the always popular Poultry Idol competition.
“After celebrating our tenth annual festival last year, we felt it was time to have our own theme song” stated entertainment chair Henry Swierenga. “We are looking for a song that is upbeat, promotes the festival and will be fairly easy for everyone to eventually join in and sing.
Participants in the contest should be prepared to supply not only the words, but also the music. Participants may have someone else perform their composition.
Entries will be judged at the June 26th festival by a panel of qualified musicians and PoultryFest executive. (PoultryFest Idol entrants are also welcome to participate in the song writing contest)
To allow for scheduling, deadline for entries is June 19, 2010.
The winner of the PoultryFest official song will perform their entry as part of the evening outdoor concert.
